Why is everyone moving to study and work in Canada?

Canada is a modern, progressive, open and tolerant multi-cultural society with 2 official languages – English and French.

I bet you knew this already.
Now, did you know that: Over the past 10 years, the Canadian government’s policies have been directed at increasing international student population. In 2015, study shows that there were over 350,000 international students studying in Canada. This number is expected to increase to 500,000 students by 2020.
Also, one of the most distinctive features of the Canadian educational system is that each of the 10 provincial governments is responsible for the universities in their province.

As an international student, you can work in Canada without a work permit. While you study in Canada, even after graduation, you can enter the Canadian labour force.
If you have a study permit and are enrolled full-time in an eligible institution, you may work on-campus without a work permit.

If you have a study permit and are enrolled full-time in an academic, professional or vocational training program at a designated learning institution, you may work off campus without a work permit.

(Designated learning institution: a school approved by a provincial or territorial government to host international students.)

As a student you can work up to 20 hours a week in Canada. Minimum wage varies from province to province, and is between $11 and $15 per hour. At 20 hours work per week, you can earn minimum of $220 or $300 per week depending on your location.
